Faith Isn’t Enough!
Julian B Kiganda,
“I’m just going to have faith that it will all work out.”
I hear that all the time. And though it’s great to have faith, there’s a reason the Bible says that “Faith without works is dead.”
I’ve been guilty of it too. In the past, I’ve thought that if I focus on just thinking positively and having faith, then the opportunities I’m praying for will make their way to me.
Um…that’s not really how any of this works.
When you see people who are getting one opportunity after another, it’s because they’re doing the work behind the scenes to put themselves in the position to get those opportunities.
Most of what we consider success happens behind the scenes. The REAL WORK happens out of the spotlight.
If you want to reach your goals this year, you have to first have a PLAN (see link in comments for some guidance) and then you have to COMMIT to TAKING ACTION on that plan.
It’s much easier to have faith when you have action to back it up.
So if you’ve been waiting on something or someone to happen to you so you can finally realize your goals and dreams, take Lisa Nichols’ advice and BE YOUR OWN RESCUE.
That first action you take will give you the momentum to take the next action, and the next, and the next.
And before you know it, the energy you generate from your actions will start attracting opportunities.
But you have to start somewhere.
Because faith alone isn’t enough.
What is one action you’re taking this year that will result in moving closer to realizing your goal(s)?
