Sometimes the problem with being a problem-solver is that you forget that not everyone is coming to you to solve their problem.
They’re just looking for a listening ear and some empathy. They need compassion and a kind word. And your attempt to solve their issue may sound more like criticism or judgment.
This is a lesson I’m still learning. But it’s such an important lesson. Because you never know what people are going through.
Your words have power. Choose them wisely. Choose kindness.
