Morning Line: Loving the Hard Ones!

1 John 4: 7-8 (NRSVCE) “Beloved, let us love one another because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. “

Loving the unlovable as God did you. Because someone is different from us we shouldn’t dismiss them. We don’t like being judged and shouldn’t do it to others. Loving the hard ones requires reliance on God’s guidance and grace. Begin to see them not as different but loved.

Judge carefully:

Matthew 7:1-2 (NRSVCE) “Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.

The Rule: Matthew 7:12 (NRSVCE) “In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets”

Action: Matthew 7:24  (NRSVCE) “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock”

Be an encourager today. Build your house on the bed of God’s Word and fill it with the love of Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask Father God who you can help build a solid rock foundation and help them move from shaky ground to a solid foundation and Christ Jesus-filled life.
