“How long, O Lord, must I call for help?”    Habakkuk 1:2 NIV

Waiting for your vision to start or to find a solution to a problem you’re facing, or for signs of fulfillment to a promise? You’re not the first to struggle with the idea of waiting and when you get what you’re waiting for, you’ll begin waiting for something else. If there’s one word that defines life and Christian living, it’s – waiting and beginning.

God said to Habakkuk, “…revelation awaits an appointed time…“Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 NIV)

Why did God say that? He was answering the prophet’s question, “How long, O Lord, must I call for help….?” Waiting for things to change isn’t easy. So while you’re waiting? Pour yourself into the job at hand; otherwise, you’ll shortchange your own future.

“Be patient…See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains….being patient and standing firm” (James 5:7-8 NIV).

What God has in store for you is worth all seasons of waiting.

We have this promise He who has begun a good work in you will complete it as let go and let His perfect timing unfold it. Don’t fret over tomorrow, mount up and go win today’s race.
